Here at Susquehanna Ford, we are proud to be a regular supporter of the greater Willow Street and Lancaster communities! We appreciate all the support and business that our local customers give us, and are pleased to be able to give back in a variety of ways. We recently hosted a Toys for Tots event at our dealership and are excited to share the results! We hope as a result of our toy drive we were able to brighten the holidays for some local kids.
Toys for Tots Event Hosted at Susquehanna Ford
Our mobile service technicians have been busy spreading Christmas cheer these past few weeks! Our customers have been taking advantage of our “Donate a new, unwrapped gift for Toys for Tots and get a FREE mobile service oil change!” Thank you to all of our customers that participated and provided a gift. We’re excited to be able to send an overflowing box of toys to the children in need this holiday season!
What is Toys for Tots
The Toys for Tots Foundation, is a not-for-profit public charity that was established in 1991. Local campaigns are conducted annually in over 800 communities covering all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. The basic mission of the program is to collect new unwrapped toys and distribute those toys to less fortunate children at Christmas. Members of the community drop new, unwrapped toys in collection boxes positioned in local businesses. Coordinators pick up these toys and store them in central warehouses where the toys are sorted by age and gender. At Christmas, Coordinators, with the assistance of local social welfare agencies, church groups, and other local community agencies, distribute the toys to the less fortunate children of the community.
